Blue Hour contd.

Right now it is blue hour where I live. Instead of going out with the photo gear I’ll post an image I took quite some time ago. – When I first noted the intense blue color on the captured image. This is my 2nd contribution to Scott Thomas’ assignment #19:

Blue hour

Scott Thomas has challenged us with a new assignment on “blue hour photography“.
You can read about the blue hour effect on Scotts site.
This photo is from an area called “Fisketorvet” (Market square for fish trading) in Copenhagen harbor. The building is called “The Aller Building” and it houses The Aller Company, one of the largest publishers in Denmark.

Birthe Elise Nielsen 1931 – 2012

It’s hard to find words for the moment. Particularly when it comes to the very last goodbye.
Maybe a picture is enough right now.
My Mother-in-law’s favourite flower was the Lily of the Valley. But they do not bloom until May, so I borrowed a picture.
Dear Svigermor: Rest with the same peace as you left this life with.

Image used with permission of Peter Dupont, Grønt Havedesign.

I nearly forgot:
Thanks for your wonderful daughter. I’ll take care of her.

Jane Harnfeldt

The worst part of life is waiting. The best part of life is having someone worth waiting for.
-Jessica Brumley

Vores kære veninde gennem mange år er ikke længere hos os.
Our dear friend through many years is no longer with us.

For many years I’ve been looking forward to the annual spring meeting with old colleguaes. The youngest of us, Jane, died suddently Thursday 8th. of March. Only 57 years was given her.
I have known her since we were young back in 1975.
She was as a very positive person who loved people and life. Joy was her in her companion.

Waiting is ok, but don’t forget living.

This photo was her own choice for her Facebook profile. I grabbed it there.

Abstract Photography

Scott Thomas has given almost no directions for his 18th assignment: Abstract Photography.
This needs no explanations, I think.

Gasoil

Current price on gasoil in Denmark is: (take care, here it comes)
DKK 12.13 / liter or 8.84 USD pr gallon
My car runs 9 km pr liter, or 21.2 miles on a gallon
I wonder what the price will be in a year from now. DKK 15 ???
Just to let you know.

14th of February

Dear fellow bloggers
I hope you have all had a good day.

This time there’s no photo in the post. I’m fighting a five star cold, and my mood is not for posting today.
This means that most of my senses are weak so I’d better go to sleep. An exception is the loud ringing in my ears, indicating that someone might be thinking of me.

I’ll be with you later.
